In July 2012, I had been suffering from a bad ear infection from almost 3 weeks that was giving me severe headaches and sudden pain jabs in my head that required me to take a couple of pain killers every day. The pain would be so mad that it affected my mood on a daily basis and made me very irritable. Just before the retreat I had been to the doctor who said it just needed to heal and gave me antibiotics and said that it would take another 2 weeks. On Friday night at a healing mass Fr. Jim prayed over me and I felt a little relief, however on Saturday I struggled to listen to the music with one ear and be in tune as I was partially deaf on one side due to the ear infection.
On Sunday Fr. Joshi mentioned that a few folks were getting healed of ear problems – instantly I knew I was healed – instantly the pain and infection from over 3 weeks was gone! The amazing thing was that I was not praying for a healing of this issue on Sunday.
It was mind-blowing for me to realize that I had been touched in such a “real” way by Jesus. I kept reflecting back to…wow, the Lord himself healed me like those miracles in the Bible. I’ve always believed in Jesus but the healing made me understand just how real, how near He is to me at all times. In times of struggle now I go back and remember the healing and am strengthened in faith by what the Lord has done for me, someone who totally did not deserve His healing touch. Thank you Jesus. I accept you as my Lord and master. Amen!
