The more you focus on Jesus’ last words, you begin to realize the amazing love and sacrifice He made on our behalf. The excruciating pain He endured that really was meant for us. The agonizing, humiliating death He suffered was a result of our sins. When we try and start to understand that, the Cross will never be the same. Every time we see a Cross, it should remind us of this great love that He showed for us, that even while we were sinners, He died for us. I hope and pray that we never take the Cross for granted again.
