On a recent international business trip to India I was getting ready to return back to Seattle and decided to rest on the bed at my hotel for a bit since I would check out in an hour. Unfortunately I fell asleep. At 2.30 AM I woke up with a jolt from my bed and realized I was going to miss my 4.15 AM flight to Dubai. I rushed down to the hotel front desk and told them of my mistake and that I needed my cab driver to take me quickly. They informed that it was a 45 minute drive to the airport. By now I had lost another 15 minutes. I was praying in tongues and while I was tensed I was also sensing calmness in my heart. As the cab started I prayed that the Lord would give us a straight line to the airport. The driver was driving almost 90 miles (140km) on the Indian roads and I was amazed how though there was traffic around us, our car was able to keep a straight line to the airport. As we arrived at the airport, the hotel staff there had requested the airlines to keep check-in open for me and they had told him at the latest they could wait for me till 3.15 AM. I reached the check-in desk at 3.12 AM! Praise the Lord. Now I was worried how I would make it through “Security” and “Immigration” as the last time I flew, it had taken 45 minutes. However, this time there was no one there in Security or Immigration and I breezed through that and as I arrived at the gate the line had just started to form to board the plane. Praise the Lord for this miracle and the calmness he gave me to not lose hope. I remembered the scripture in Psalm 128 – the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore; and realized how the Lord had taken care of me right from sending His angel to wake me up at the right time, a few minutes more and I would have not made it in time for check-in. Jesus, thank you for your miracle!
