In Dec of 2010, I lost my job working at a local IT company. For 3 months, I attended several interviews, many of which seemed to have gone well, but I did not get any call backs. Although I had pinned my hope and future in the Lord, I was disappointed and in a depressed state of mind with the rejection. My confidence kept crumbling and self-doubt took over. My hope in our Lord quickly evaporated.

It is during this time that members in the prayer group prayed over me, my family and friends interceded for me and helped me to put my focus & hope back on the Lord. Once this happened, rejections didn’t bother me. I just accepted it in faith that it was all according to God’s perfect plan for me to strengthen and build me up.

Shortly thereafter, I landed a contracting assignment with a major software company in the area. Although my contract was for a year, I was able to excel in my job and even though my manager changed towards the end of my contract, the new manager went out of his way to find a good role for me with his peers. I have been able to build on my capabilities and establish myself as a key player in the team.

I praise and thank God for His faithfulness and His hand over my life. He has pulled me up from the valley of fear and blessed me with His abundance. Now I do not fear anything!
