I recently was in the job market due to an issue at work, and God blessed me with a amazing opportunity, which I could not have achieved myself. I stand witness and testify to the power of God, the anointing of the Holy Spirit, and also God’s blessings through the Ministry of Word (specifically prophecies), Prayer Ministry, personal prayer, Scripture readings, service, and the power of a community centered in Jesus Christ.

The following is a detailed breakdown of the events that led to the job offer I was blessed with.

Community
When I first found out about my job situation, I reached out to the Prayer Ministry in the Renewed in Christ prayer group, who prayed with me and gave me encouragement; exactly what I needed.

Prophecy
At dinner one evening, with one of the prayer ministers, at a local restaurant, I received words of prophecy. After our initial prayer, there was an immediate prophecy, “you will get a better job than the one you currently have in the name of Jesus”. Later on, one of the restaurant staff, who had not the faintest idea about my situation, walked up and prophesied “God is blessing you with success”. This was a double affirmation for me that God is going to do something amazing.

Prayers from the Prayer Ministry on that day helped lift my spirit, stay calm and focused, and most importantly to be filled with joy. The next time I met my manager in person, I proclaimed God’s Word (from the prophecy) that “I will get a better job than the one I currently have, in the name of Jesus”. He was stunned. (This prophecy turned out to be true like I mention below.)

Personal & Scripture reading
I stepped up my personal prayer and scripture reading, especially after the recent retreat organized by the prayer group at St Pius, near Seattle. On the day before my job interview, I was reading the book of Samuel, after my time of personal prayer. I read scripture verses where David was filled with the Holy Spirit and anointed king over Israel, following which he overcame Goliath, and won every battle in the name of the Lord. I immediately claimed the blessing that God gave David, and the anointing of the Holy Spirit, over myself for the interviews the next day.

Prayer ministry
I was still tensed about my interview, and later in the evening I reached out to the Prayer Ministry, requesting to be prayed over. Amazingly, the prayer ministers prayed the same blessing of David that I had read in the scriptures earlier in the morning, without me telling them about it. In full faith, I believe that God was affirming his promise of victory (like David’s victory) to me.

The interviews the next day went better than I could ever imagine. I felt the grace and presence of God continuously with me through all of the interviews. It was a resounding success, and I was informed the same day that the company will be extending a job offer!

Service in His ministry
I serve as worship lead in the prayer group, and it was my turn to lead worship in the week of the interview I mentioned above. By the time it was Friday, which is the day of the weekly prayer meeting, God blessed me with one additional job offer. So, I now had two job offers in hand, including the one above. The timing of these two job offers leaves no doubt in my mind that God blesses abundantly those who serve in His ministry.

I thank Jesus for the abundant blessing He has given me, and I thank Him for the job offers. I write this testimony to encourage my brothers and sisters who may be going through a similar situation. Most importantly, I testify in the name of Jesus, His presence in prayer ministry and the prayer group dedicated to Him, and His blessings to those who serve in His name. Furthermore, I claim in the name of Jesus, with full confidence and faith, that I will shine in His glory in the new job that He has given me.

Blessings,
Lynn
