This is the last of the 3 part series on Mass focusing on the Liturgy of the Eucharist. Every prayer offered during Mass and every ritual performed by the priest and the faithful have a special significance and based on the Word of God. Comprehending this depth will enable us to better appreciate the happenings at Mass. The Transubstantiation that happens during the Eucharistic prayer, is the most profound mystery that we are participant witnesses to in our lives. We need to move away from “seeing” or “attending” Mass to “participating” in Mass, by developing the eyes of faith. This can only happen when we allow the Holy Spirit to break our minds away from the familiarity that breeds contempt.
