We have received the gifts of the Spirit by virtue of our sacraments of baptism and confirmation. Prophecy is the ability given by the Holy Spirit to speak in a language understood by the believer but with words inspired and given by the Holy Spirit. St. Paul says and expects that we ALL have the gift of prophecy (and tongues) and says that prophecy is a better gift to seek, since it helps others and builds the Church. 1 Cor 14. Because we have it, we should use it – spend quiet time with the Lord and learn to listen, step out in faith, open our mouth and manifest this gift. We ended up the prayer meeting, helping each other to manifest this gift in small groups. We will continue this in future meetings, so come and join, if you want to have this gift.
